Dropped Candy - Mini-Edition, NCTE & The Black Creatives Children's Book Fest
Upcoming Author Appearances
This month, I’ll be presenting with fellow authors and kid-lit luminaries at a national convention (conveniently in Boston) and a local book fair. In December, I’m excited to be debuting alongside friends at the inaugural Newton Children’s Book Festival.
Read below for all the fun! 🍬
What is NCTE, you ask?
The NCTE Annual Convention is the “premier annual event for English language arts and literacy educators.” This is my first NCTE, and I’m fortunate to have been invited to serve on three panels! I’ll also be signing copies of my novel at the Candlewick Press booth. Stay tuned for a report-back —including which cool creatives I’ll be lucky to meet, and what I learned.

Ok . . . But Can We See You in Person at the Black Creatives Children’s Book Fair?
Yes! Please come see me and visit all the incredible talent.
What: Zine-Making Workshop & Book Signing at the Black Creatives Children’s Book Fair

And Then December . . .
Join me in Newton, MA at the inaugural Newton Children’s Book Festival. (Yes, namesake of the Fig Newton cookies, which are apparently from Philly? Explains why I’ve never smelled that sweet cakey crust in MA.)
