The son of a wealthy family takes revenge for the abduction and death of his Hispanic friend, while a mysterious woman first tries to stop him, then pushes him to confess.
ROLES BEING CAST:
Pete Hammer - middle aged black NYPD detective assigned to work with Conner Immigration Services to locate and apprehend persons in the country illegally. Refuses to accept AI in his investigations in favor of his own intuition. (Character is based on Porfiry Petrovich in Crime and Punishment, who was also the inspiration for the TV detective Columbo.)
Janine Pryor - 30s white female, ambitious NYPD detective who leads the investigation into the assassination of Richard Conner, who was head of Conner Immigration Services and her lover. Senses (correctly) that her friend Pete Hammer is not sympatico with the cause and tries to undermine his parallel investigation of the murder.
Actors will be compensated; potential SAG Ultra-low budget contract.
