New GitHub Integration
Hey folks,
I just released a big new feature for Indie Courses.
Students can now invite themselves to your private GitHub repository!
Most courses on Indie Courses keep their codebase in a private GitHub repository, which makes it difficult for new students to access them. Previously, students would have to contact you with their username, and you'd have to invite them to your repo by hand. No more!
Our new GitHub integration allows students to invite themselves!
All you need is to set up our GitHub integration in the Profile tab and choose the course repository for each course.
The students will see a new button in their course view.
If they click on it, they can invite themselves as Collaborator
to your repo by searching for their username. Students can only invite one GitHub account, so if they try to invite themselves and their buddies, they can't.
And that's it! Students can now give themselves access immediately after purchasing your course. No more support work on your end!
I hope this makes your life a little easier :)
As always, if there's anything that you'd like to have or see improved, shoot me an email and I'll happily tackle it right away.
Best, Peter Ullrich
