🌱✌️Permapeople Newsletter #26

Hi Permapeople,
Winter is tough in Berlin but today was a sunny day and I snapped this image of a pedunculate oak while taking a long walk in the forest. In my head, I am slowly starting to think about the next growing season, I plan on a lot of chili varieties (first time for me, I just did some tree chilies years ago) and tomatoes (do the best on my balcony setup with Toby Hemenway’s sheet mulching technique). Also I just figured, I really need to write an update on that blog post since my setup has changed massively since then. Please let me know if you would be interested.
Planner Updates - Undo/Redo and better label management
Thanks to you, the planner is our most used feature and we get a lot of feature requests for it. Han started this as a quick prototype years ago and it quickly became one of our most useful tools on the website.
Undo/redo was the most requested one and it is finally there. All actions in the planner can be undone, except adding/removing a background image.
Improved labels are now also linked to species, so if you add/remove a species from a plant/element the species label will be added/removed as well. While still supporting custom labels, as well as having the ability to move labels around.
Easy (and fast!) API Access
We got so many requests for API access and we couldn’t keep up with them. Sorry for the long wait times! Now you can easily get API access yourself here.
Help Permapeople
We are a bunch of volunteers which work on Permapeople whenever time allows and out of our own pockets. If you find Permapeople useful, feel free to share, contribute and/or donate. Highly appreciated! Also feedback is always welcome and there is always a plant profile which needs a bit love.
Newsletter Archive
We moved to a new newsletter provider and now you can access all our old newsletters also from the web. Feel free to bookmark and share.
Happy garden planning,
Ben 🌱✌️
