🌱✌️Discord / New blog post / API
Hey Permapeople,
How did the season go for you?
Our gardens come to a rest, we harvest the last produce, Simon already got some frosts. Let’s move on to autumn and winter tasks: collect seeds, share and swap them, store, dry, ferment what you cannot eat immediately, reflect on your garden season and plan all the awesome stuff you want to grow next year. Don’t forget to track it all in the garden journal. And compost, chop and drop, compost everything, amend beds, your future you will thank you. Remember: Everything is mulch! Or just build an oven from clay.

Blog: In defense of the lawn
The lawn: One of the most discussed things in regenerative gardening circles. We think not all lawns are equal and there is space for a natural lawn. There are many lawns where there should be fruit trees and vegetable beds but there are also lawns that help wildlife, give a yield in produce, happiness, and are zero-maintenance / zero-input.

For developers: We have an API now
For all tech people on this newsletter: We opened up our API for users. It’s very simple but can be used to integrate any plant information in the database into other projects. Feel free to scrape the whole dataset if you want to or use it directly for querying plant info.
