🌱✌️Custom list colums / Native plant data / New podcast episode

Hey Permapeople,

The weather in Berlin has been pretty wild lately, with temperature differences of over 15°C on some days. Despite this, I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of spring. This year, I'm trying a different approach with my garlic, as it failed to grow properly in my garden beds for the past two years. I've interplanted them in all of my containers on the terrace and balcony back in December, and they sprouted early this year due to some warm days in February. However, since they're frost hardy, I'm still hopeful for a successful crop.

If you're still planning your garden, now is the perfect time to swap or trade some seeds on the marketplace. I'm sure we have plenty of new seeds available since the last time you checked!

At Permapeople, we've been quietly busy over the winter and have accomplished a lot. In this newsletter, we'll be featuring two topics and a new podcast episode. As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts on each of them.

Feature: Custom list columns

Many people have asked us for a way to customize their lists according to their specific needs. Lists can serve a variety of purposes, such as keeping track of seed inventories, planning your garden, creating trading lists, or designing guilds. However, not all of these use cases have the same requirements for the columns displayed.

Starting now, you can choose which columns to display when editing a list. This is still an early version, and we rely on your feedback to improve it.

Feature: Native plant data

We've actually been working on some of the most requested features, and we're excited to announce another one: native plant data. When searching for plants, you can now filter by the native bio-region of a plant. This feature helps you find plants that are native to your specific area, increasing the likelihood of success in your gardening endeavors.
