If you have known or appreciated the work of our former Poet Laureate Marguerite Costigan, you have the opportunity to let her know. Her Parkinsons has reached stage 4 and she needed a higher level of care and has moved to care facility. This is, of course a hard transition and it would cheer her to receive notes, poems, photos or artwork, or if you know her, visits if you are able.
Send to: Marguerite Costigan, 1135 Oceannaire Drive, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405
A note from Terry Sanville:

But her reading days are probably over. She still writes the occasional poem and I'm trying to find a traditional publisher for her next poetry collection "Death and Babies." Deep Water Secrets is on Amazon!
It’s time to start your springtime, free of the politics of the day, by reading my just-released novel, "Deep Water Secrets." This mystery-adventure story is set on Santa Catalina Island and in the deep clear waters off the island’s leeward coast and the town of Avalon.
This tale is the second in the series of Paul Saldano mysteries and traces a current-day police investigation of a tragedy that happened during World War II. With plenty of historical details and wartime intrigue, the novel’s heroes, Sergeant Paul Saldano and his lover and companion, Jamella, discover long held secrets hidden beneath the waves and experience the dangers found there.
Poetry Walk -NOW OPEN!
The City of San Luis Obispo’s Public Art Program, in collaboration with SLO County Arts and the SLO County Poet Laureate, is commissioning ten short original poems by local writers and poets for display throughout downtown and neighboring public spaces creating a Poetry Walk. Poems will be installed by a local stencil artist as spray-painted literary art on sidewalks encouraging the community to slow down and take a moment to enjoy thoughtful poetry. To apply click on the Request for proposals link below! Request for Proposals will be open until May 24, 2026.
