Quick updates - PDX Digital Corps Week 2
Over 130+ of you have signed up…but are you one of them?
The first step is making sure you've filled out our volunteer form. We realized today a few people — especially those of you who wrote when this first launched — might have only emailed us, but never filled out the form.
Filling out the form helps us get you into our database so we can match volunteers with nonprofits and community groups based on project needs and your interests. Interested in stretching or growing your skills in a different area than your core discipline? This is totally accepted.
Steering Team launching!
Some of our volunteers met today for the first time to start shaping the Steering Team, documenting key processes, and building the foundation for onboarding and project coordination. If you're interested in helping out with operations or infrastructure, drop us a note!
Another pilot team forming
In addition to a pilot project team forming with the Cape Perpetua Collaborative, we’re going to also be forming a pilot team with Built Oregon. We’re finalizing our staffing process, but the short version and a subsequent newsletter will have more details about how to signal interest for projects. In the meantime, the best place to communicate with folks is our Discord server. join and say hi:
It's still quiet, but things are about to get busy.
Save the date for our in-person hang!
We’re plotting an event person event on Wednesday April 16th from 6-8pm. Location (somewhere on the east side…) details & an RSVP link forthcoming in a few days.
