New Blog Post: A Person’s Character (人という字は)
Hi there,
Being able to speak a bit of Japanese means I sometimes get asked to emcee, or translate speeches, at weddings where Japanese and English speakers will be present.
During one speech, I got completely flummoxed by a speaker when they made the character for person, "人", with their hands, and waited for me to give my translation.
You can read about how I got through that at my latest blog post:

“人” may be the kanji for person, but its simplicity masks a deeper meaning.
If you have any feedback, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment on the post, or send me an email.
Hope you have a great week!
Paul
