This Month on Party of One: 400 Episodes!

Hey Party People!
This is a big newsletter, with a lot of fun weird stuff in it. So let’s dive right in, shall we?
400 Episodes of Party of One
I don’t really have words. 400 episodes. I keep looking at that number and feeling my mind melt a little. I don’t know when it happened, but it did.
Thanks for hanging out with us for 400 episodes. Here’s to a bunch more.
“But Jeff, how did you celebrate 400 episodes?” By saving the multiverse, that’s how. We played an experimental game of Project ECCO, using 400 episodes of the Po1 backlog as inspiration instead of a year planner. The finished episode is weird, and personal, and fun, and goofy, and vulnerable, and I love it a lot. You should give it a listen.

Bonus: Party of One #400 Episode Trivia
What you hear on this episode is the fourth playthrough of Project ECCO I did trying to find the right vibe for the episode. At one point, Jeff-Prime was revealed to be ECCO, and the Time Agency was revealed to be the villains all along in a sort of Braid-like twist. It… didn’t work.
The idea for this episode came to me while sitting in the Dallas airport, having missed my flight and thoroughly run out of things to do. This was in November; I recorded the final episode the Sunday before we released. Sometimes good ideas take time.
This is Jeff-Prime’s second appearance on the podcast, after Party of One #200, in which he fought off a different podcast-themed alien invasion.
I’m fine, I promise.

Something I Liked, That You Might Too
Encounter Party
Do you know how good a D&D TV show has to be for me to recommend it in the year of Cody Rhodes 2024? Encounter Party is just that good. The performances are incredible, the story captivating, the presentation on a whole other level. This show fucks.
Until next time, thank you for reading. Remember to fight the forces of fascism every single day. Remember that self-love and self-care are radical, defiant act of resistance. And as always…
Party On.
