MillionVerifier in 5 minutes

MillionVerifier in 5 minutes

Issue #10 - The cheapest credible way to stop bad emails from torching your sender reputation

What it is

Every bounce is a vote against your domain. Hit 2–3% hard bounces and ESPs start routing you to spam. MillionVerifier is a bulk email verification service: you feed it a list, it tells you which addresses are Good, Risky, or Bad, and you only send to the ones that won't blow up your deliverability. It handles bulk list verification via file upload or copy-paste, single email checks, a real-time API, and EverClean — an automated service that verifies and cleans lists daily inside connected ESPs and CRMs. The core pitch is that it does all of this at the lowest per-email price in the space.

Where it sits in the stack

This is a deliverability / list hygiene tool — it sits between your data sourcing step and your sending step. The standard workflow is: build a list in Apollo or Sales Navigator, export it, upload to MillionVerifier, download the clean list, and upload to your sending platform. It most commonly pairs with Apollo or Clay for prospecting, Instantly or Smartlead for outbound sending, and HubSpot or Salesforce as the CRM it helps protect. Native one-click connectors exist for Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, and SendGrid , with Zapier and Make available for anything else.

Three workflows people actually run

1. Pre-campaign bulk scrub — The bread-and-butter use case. Export your prospect list from Apollo or a LinkedIn Sales Navigator scrape. Upload the CSV to MillionVerifier (drag-and-drop, supports .txt/.csv/.xlsx). The engine classifies addresses into Good, Risky, and Bad using syntax, DNS, SMTP, disposable, and catch-all detection. Download only the Good segment and load it into Instantly or Smartlead. The bulk process adds maybe 15 minutes to your list prep workflow — a small price for protecting your sender reputation. Keep the Risky segment in a separate sequence and watch its bounce rate closely; if it exceeds 3%, kill it.

2. Real-time API gate on inbound forms — If you're capturing leads through a demo request form or a content download page, bad emails get in constantly (typos, fake signups, disposables). Use the Single API to verify addresses in real-time: integrate it into your website or application to prevent bad emails from entering your database, and prompt users on the spot if they misspell their address.

MillionVerifier claims its real-time API can verify an email in under 100 milliseconds , so the latency hit on your form is negligible. Wire it up via the REST API directly, or use the Zapier integration if you're on a no-code stack. Stops garbage from ever reaching HubSpot or Salesforce in the first place.

3. EverClean for ongoing ESP hygiene — Useful for teams running a nurture list that accumulates contacts over time from multiple sources (inbound, events, ZoomInfo imports). EverClean integrates with your email marketing account, checks your emails daily, and automatically removes bad emails. You connect it once to your ESP, set the action (remove or unsubscribe invalid/disposable addresses), and it runs silently in the background. In the background, MillionVerifier takes the action you've selected — remove or unsubscribe — on the bad emails it finds. Good fit for RevOps teams managing a Mailchimp or ActiveCampaign instance that nobody is actively pruning.

What it costs

MillionVerifier uses a pay-as-you-go credit model. Standard verification credits start at about $37 for 10,000 emails and $129 for 100,000 emails, with per-email costs decreasing at higher volumes. Credits never expire and can be used across single checks, bulk uploads, integrations, and API calls. At the top end, 1 million verifications run $449.

EverClean automated list hygiene starts around $15/month for smaller databases, with higher tiers for larger daily verification volumes.

The gotchas:

  • Catch-all and unknown results aren't charged — this is actually a credit-saving feature, not a trap. You don't pay for addresses MV can't make a decision on.
  • Credits expire after 12 months on some reports — if you verify infrequently, check current terms. The vendor's site says credits never expire, so confirm before buying at scale.
  • The API is priced separately and isn't available on the basic pay-as-you-go credits. If you need real-time API verification, you'll need to contact them for API pricing, which is higher than bulk rates.
  • Enabling auto top-up earns a 10% credit bonus on every payment, and there's a money-back guarantee if your hard bounce rate exceeds 4% after verification. The refund policy is genuinely unusual for this category — worth factoring in.

Who it's for (and who should skip it)

Good fit: High-volume verification teams — if you're verifying 100K+ emails per month, the cost savings become hundreds of dollars monthly. At that scale, MillionVerifier's price advantage is its primary selling point and a strong one. Also works well for campaign-based operations where you don't verify on a monthly schedule: the pay-as-you-go model with no subscription means you buy credits when you need them and don't pay when you don't.

Skip it if: You're cold-emailing C-suite at Fortune 500 companies, where catch-all domain handling matters more — tools like ZeroBounce apply AI scoring to catch-all addresses, giving you a probability estimate that helps you make smarter inclusion decisions. Also skip it if you need hands-on support with an SLA: email-only support with 1–2 day response times means slow turnaround when you hit an issue mid-campaign. One independent benchmark put MillionVerifier's real-world accuracy at 95.8% — solid for the price, but not the "99%+" the homepage claims.
