Hi, everyone—this week is your last chance to recommend works for this year’s Otherwise Awards jury to consider!

You can recommend any works of speculative fiction published in 2026 that explore or expand our understanding of gender. (Works can be books, stories, poems, music, video, fanfic, social media posts, or any other form of speculative fiction.)

We welcome recommendations from everyone, including authors; it’s fine to recommend your own work.

The recommendations form will be open until November 8 at 23:59 US Pacific time.

After that, we’ll switch over to a new 2027 recommendations form; anything recommended after November 8 will be considered with 2027 works.
