I made a game and I want you to playtest it.
It's called Hardware Hustle, and I think it's fun! From its intro text:
Hardware Hustle is a tabletop, roll-and-write resource management game about sustainably running a small hardware business.
For 1+ players. Ages 10+. ~20min to play.
Buy, make, sell, and research your way to profit without burning out!
Think "Catan Dice Game" meets shoestring capitalism, as spreadsheets. Mhm, yes. It's not 100% finished just yet but close enough to play and enjoy.
The best part about Hardware Hustle is that you can print it at home (a regular 2D printer, not 3D!) for free and play it right this very instant. If you have a modicum of free time and maybe some six-sided dice, I'd love to have your constructive feedback. It's got math in it, so bonus points if you can playtest with any young people in your life.
I've released it open source with code and printable PDFs on GitHub. There you'll also find a link to a feedback form, but please email me if you have any questions.
Next year, I'll try to get it made to sell on the shop, and I'll do a proper full write-up of its development process like my other work. There's a surprising amount of overlap in designing a game and soldering kits.
