OD1: First Issue!
Okay, fine. I'm finally writing the first issue of this newsletter. I've decided to call it... Orbital Detritus. It makes sense because it's full of junk! Get it? Get it?
Anyway.
What's new
Not much.
I wrote and published a small game recently—Peasant (see my blog post linked below for more details). I've also got another one cooking—Horde.
I wrote and published my first adventure module: Hunt for the Last Owl Bear. It won third place in a vote of peers, got an honorable mention in a video by the creator of the game it was for, and got panned by Bryce Lynch of tenfootpole (that was fun). Watch for an upcoming blog post for more details.
Oh! The big news of the year is that I got married! (Talk about burying the lede.) It's hard to put into words the joy this has brought into my life—see my blog post linked below to read me trying.
How's my novel going
It's... going. Slowly. I'm about a fifth of the way through the third draft, which will be the final draft before folks get to start reading it. Currently, I'm taking the month off to write a short story to get my creative juices (gross) flowing—more on that in the next issue!
If you're dying for a little taste of Centauri Womb in the meantime, join my Patreon. Even at the free tier, you'll gain access to a preview that includes the prologue and first two chapters of the current draft-in-progress.
Updates from my blog
I wrote four posts on my blog so far this year, all of which were in the past few months. I recently switched to a different system that makes writing and publishing posts much easier, so expect the rate of publication to go up! Check 'em out:
Anything else
Nope, that's it. Watch for the second issue of Orbital Detritus early next year.
Bye!
