Duo Matices is committed to the study, performance, and dissemination of Latin American art songs. Their mission is to promote compositions by historically underrepresented composers not only through commissions of new work but also by reviving music by unknown and overlooked Latin American composers from the past. ​​​​​

As their name suggests (matices = nuances), the duo's vision is to accentuate the colors and beauty of Latin America's cultural and musical diversity through innovative presentations that aim to educate and make Latin American classical music accessible to all.

Su misión es promover composiciones de compositores históricamente subrepresentados, no solo mediante encargos de nuevas obras, sino también reviviendo música de compositores latinoamericanos desconocidos y olvidados del pasado. ​​​​​

Como su nombre lo indica la visión del dúo es resaltar la riqueza y la belleza de la diversidad cultural y musical de Latinoamérica mediante presentaciones innovadoras que buscan educar y hacer accesible a todos la canción de arte latinoamericana.
