Although March drags on, spring is a quickening time and life has begun to beat a little faster. Aries season makes me feel like I’m holding the leash of a large dog chasing a squirrel. I hope your shoulders are all firmly in their sockets.

Album updates: mixes are done! The songs are now in the hands of the mastering engineer, Dave. I’m having fun brainstorming video shoots, cover art, and release show ideas.

If you’d have asked me last year, I would have said that I would be marketing this album entirely off social media. Now that the time has come to actually start marketing this album, I have a different answer.

I learned so much from getting off socials and investing in IRL marketing, and I’m inspired to apply that knowledge in this album campaign. But I’m also going to be using social media, because I want to give my work the best chance I can to succeed. And honestly, I’m excited about it!

I think the trick is to not fall into a cycle of resentment and obligation. I return to the words of Kening Zhu: “The more I’m nourished by my work, the more that others have the possibility of being nourished by it too”. If we do things joyfully and in alignment, we can’t fail :)
