I have been (not unhappily) consumed by the brain-eating amoeba that is Album Release Season. Every morning as my eyelids flutter: checklist arises in front of my eyes, all of a sudden I am holding a pen… no, a red Sharpie. Playlists pitched? Music video edited? Press release approved? Merch arriving in time for shows? CDs ordered? Wake up bitch, it’s time to edit your bio again! You misplaced that PDF, didn’t you? Where’s the stage plot?

All of this to occupy the silly little days, and in the margins, the news about AI killing us all in a decade (or whatever) sits heavy on my chest. Can’t dwell on it. How are you coping?

A note, for clarity:

I am releasing a single called “Inheritance” this Friday, September 18. The ALBUM RELEASE, which has long since devoured my personality and hobbies, is October 23. I know it gets confusing. To make things worse, the album RELEASE SHOW isn’t until November 21. Hah!
