we're well alive cargobikers
Hey everybody,
It's been more than a month since my last update. But as they say: no news is good news. Today was a big day. I got to present https://opencargo.bike to Zukunft Fahrrad, thanks to Arne — a prominent figure of the cargo bike industry in Germany and Europe. Slightly terrifying, genuinely useful, and a good sign that the directory is starting to matter to people who build this stuff for a living. --- To start with, I'd like to share with you a blogpost about the chat I had with Susann from rad3. If I had to define what I love about this community, this probably sums it up pretty well. If I had to define what I love about this community, Susann probably sums it up pretty well. --- On the numbers:
We just crossed 300 products online, with more in the pipeline. The other good news: we now have products and community designs for 14 brands. I won't list them all, but it's getting serious. A lot of backend work went into making it all fit together cleanly. Proper learning by doing.
---
One more thing. If you've got friends, family, or colleagues who keep flirting with the idea of getting a cargo bike but won't commit, I built a very seriously unserious quiz that walks them through it. Spoiler: whatever they answer, the answer is yes.
Share it. We need more cargo bike people in the world.
Cheers, and thanks for riding cargo.
