Where is your Cloak

I’ve been getting to know a local taxi driver. En route to St Beuno’s he asked about the work there. After my explanation I told him I’ve been talking to people who’re not into church-going and asking them if they’re spiritual or if the word means anything to them.
“That’s me!” he said. I don’t do church.”
I said: “Can I ask you what words come up when you think of the word spiritual?”
“Cloak.” He said. ( I mentioned this to someone later and they said:
“Maybe the cloak of invisibility Harry Potter was given?”)
I enquired further: “ What’s the cloak about ?”
“Protection. If I’m in trouble or in a spot, I bring the cloak down round about me.”
“Does that involve a higher power, or is it just your own self-protection?”
“I believe there is something out there. In the army if I saw a church I’d pop in and just spend time thinking. That always did something for me. Cant explain it.”
Any other words come up ?
“Humility,” he said, “ and caring”
He’s going to do a longer interview. He’s fascinated by St Beuno’s, wants to go inside.
Psalm 23:4
"Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no danger, because you are with me; your rod and your staff, they protect me."
Humility is the foundation of all the other virtues hence, in the soul in which this virtue does not exist there cannot be any other virtue except in mere appearance.
