let all you imagine be the light

Hello good people of the newsletter. I'm once again sorry for my absence. Christmas retail has been draining my will to live.

Today's skull (and pet) wishes you a merry Christmas, happy holidays and a wonderful new year.

More skull!

I've got more summer activity skulls coming your way. But I need to take a little break. But good news awaits for the new year…

I've applied for festival of the photocopier. The Sunday to be specific.

I will most definitely will have volume 3 of Today's skull. Who knows what else at this stage.

Sam at tree paper gallery has put out a call for artist in residence (riso printing) and gallery exhibitions. I've put up my hand for both.

I'm trying to decide which project to revive from the dead. Either eye-sore or memento mori. Or just do a full exhibition of skulls lol.

Other things! Sore one of my favourite bands of all time not once but twice this month!

Garbage at the palais theatre in st kilda

I still want to be Shirley manson when I grow up lol. The performance honestly lifted me both spirituality and artistically at least until I got back to work.

Artistically, I'm once again disappointed by how little art I've gotten done.

But I am so incredibly happy with the unexpected good vibes from today's skull. It's become one of my proudest achievements since Sammy Doom. Which I got volume 5 done this year.

Other slightly more personal achievements are that I try to learn to cook at least one new thing/meal a year. Happily I managed to learn at least 3 (that I remember). Broccoli stem fritters, over night oats and crispy tofu (mostly).

Next year I'm leaning towards trying to make some sort of potato stew for winter.

Other extremely delightful things..

Cards from the exceptional Emily N3ver and the ever delightful Cecil. I've added ‘figure out a nice way to display all the nice things people give' to the ever growing to do list.

I've never understood the appeal of cards until now. It was such a delightful surprise.

I'm thinking of getting out the lino and making sets of seasonal (today's) skull cards…

So with that thought, I wish you all a happy holidays. May you and your loved ones stay safe, eat well and I shall see you all in the new year!
