here i am. not quite dying...
Hello friends. Its zine fair time!

This year's festival of the photocopier copier zines are ready for printing.
Not without some casualties:

I feel like I run out of glue every single time I go to make zine flats. Sigh.
I just need to get to sticky institute to print them now.

Festival of the photocopier copier this weekend, over two days. I'll be there Sunday. Mostly likely in a mild delirium. Come by and say hi if you can.
And now. Skulls.

I had intended to have this out Sunday. But by the time un curled myself the creative cocoon (curled up on an armchair drawing and contorting my spin into something resembling a prawn) and feeding me i was too cooked (heh).
Other things.
Sore Nick Cave and the bad seeds at Alexandra Gardens on Friday. Had mild concern that wouldn't get zines finished in time because of it. If any, it put a bit of fire in my belly and may have been what pushed me over the line.

I was right on the barrier. But not as close as I would like. Still even though Nick cave continues to embody the ‘Godfather of Australian goth rock' he's something almost beyond that now. There is an immense almost manic joy radiating from him as he performs. Back by the mad Warren ellies, the menacing bad seeds and some glorious gospel singers there was something almost hill song about the whole thing. Cave throwing himself around stage and occasionally into the pit with more exuberance than a 67 year old should poses.
I've also been enjoying marc fenell's no one sore it coming pod cast. Less about theft ( though it does cover the theft of the mono lisa) it's more butterfly effect on how one thing can change history. It's absolutely fascinating. The garage girls episode was a particularly favourite of mine.
I've got to get back to the day job. So hopefully I will see one or two of you at festival of the photocopier on Sunday.
If not, see you here next week for more skulls and other things.
Go and make a thing.
