Two Poems

by D.T. Robbins

Above: Pavement (Rare early) - Aug 21, 1991 -Live at "The Middle East" in Boston

Would You Rather?

Savage Garden singing

truly, madly, deeply

as you’re being thrown

into a woodchipper

or

living with yourself

***

I ain’t got no crystal ball

the day I can no longer get rid of

a Sublime song that’s stuck in my head

is the day I know I’m going to die

I’m just one Santeria away

from eternal silence.

D.T. Robbins lives in Southern California with his wife and two kids. He’s the founding editor of Rejection Letters. You can order a copy of This is What Happens When You Leave Me Alone here.
