Here are 10 prompts you can use today. Each one is ready to copy and paste into ChatGPT or Claude. Try at least one.

Prompt: Build a realistic weekly plan from real constraints
Copy and paste this:
Act as my planning assistant. I’m a 61-year-old retired teacher, and this week I need a plan that actually fits real life. My fixed appointments are: Monday 9:00 AM dentist in Dayton, Tuesday 1:30 PM pick up grandson Eli from school, Wednesday 10:00 AM physical therapy, Thursday 6:00 PM neighborhood HOA meeting, and Friday 2:00 PM grocery delivery. I also want 3 hours for bookkeeping, 2 walks, one phone call with my sister Carol, and time to prep for Sunday dinner with my family. Before you make the plan, ask me 3 questions that would change the schedule the most. Then build a weekly plan as a table with morning, afternoon, and evening blocks. Keep it realistic, include one task I should drop or delay, and explain why.
Prompt: Turn a messy to-do list into priorities
Copy and paste this:
Act as a calm executive assistant for me. Here is my real list for this week: pay the electric bill, call Dr. Nguyen about my test results, buy birthday gift for my daughter Maria, water the patio plants, schedule car service for the 2018 Toyota Camry, scan insurance papers, return library books, and confirm hotel details for my sister’s visit from Chicago. Sort these into urgent, important, and can wait. Then choose the top 3 items I should do first and explain in plain language why those are the best starting points. Keep it simple enough for someone who does not want jargon.
Prompt: Plan a family trip without overwhelm
Copy and paste this:
You are a travel planner helping me organize a 4-day family trip for 2 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 11, from Nashville to Asheville in July 2026. We want one nature activity, one kid-friendly museum, one easy scenic drive, and two good meals a day without rushing. Our budget is $1,200 total for lodging, food, and activities. We do not want a packed schedule. Build a day-by-day plan with mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and include travel time, rest time, and one backup option for bad weather each day. Keep it realistic and do not overload any day.
Prompt: Create a home project timeline
Copy and paste this:
Act as a project manager for a home improvement project. I want to repaint my kitchen and dining room in my house in Toledo. The rooms are about 240 square feet total, the walls are in decent shape, and I can work on it only on weekends. I have already bought two gallons of Sherwin-Williams Snowbound and one gallon of green accent paint. Make me a two-week timeline with prep, taping, priming if needed, painting, drying, cleanup, and furniture reset. Include which tasks can be done by one person and which ones are easier with help from another adult. Keep the plan practical and order the tasks correctly.
Prompt: Rebuild a week after a disruption
Copy and paste this:
I need to recover my week after a disruption. I’m caring for my husband after his knee surgery, so my normal routine is off. Here are my commitments: Monday 11:00 AM post-op appointment, Tuesday and Thursday I need to pick up prescriptions at CVS, Wednesday I have to submit paperwork for Medicare, Friday afternoon my daughter Angela can stay with him for 2 hours, and I still need to pay bills, do laundry, and eat real meals. Rebuild my week around these constraints. Keep it humane, reduce stress, and suggest one task to postpone until next week. Then give me a “bare minimum version” of the plan in case the week goes badly.
Prompt: Plan meals for the week
Copy and paste this:
Act as a practical meal-planning assistant for a household of 3 adults. We need seven dinners for this week using what we already have: chicken thighs, eggs, rice, pasta, carrots, onions, spinach, canned beans, salsa, shredded cheese, and yogurt. We want meals that are inexpensive, simple, and do not take more than 35 minutes on weeknights. Create a 7-day dinner plan, a shopping list for only the missing items, and a prep plan for Sunday afternoon that saves time during the week. Keep the meals realistic for ordinary home cooking.
Prompt: Organize a move without chaos
Copy and paste this:
You are helping me plan a move from my apartment in Tampa to a smaller house in Lakeland on Saturday, August 15, 2026. I have 42 boxes, one queen bed, a couch, a dining table, two bookcases, and a garage full of tools. I can pack in the evenings after 6:00 PM and on weekends. Make me a moving checklist from now until moving day, organized by week, and include what to pack first, what to leave for last, what to label clearly, and what needs to be handled separately. Also include a realistic moving day schedule from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Prompt: Create a caregiving schedule
Copy and paste this:
Act as a scheduling assistant for family caregiving. My mother, Ruth, is 84 and lives alone in Cleveland. She needs rides to dialysis on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:15 AM, help with medication sorting on Sunday afternoon, and someone to check in by phone every evening. My sister Janice can visit on Tuesdays, and I can visit on Saturdays. Build a simple weekly care plan that divides tasks across the family, avoids overlap, and makes sure nothing important gets missed. Include a phone-call checklist and a backup plan if one of us is unavailable.
Prompt: Prepare for a busy workweek
Copy and paste this:
Act as my workweek planner. I’m a sales manager in Raleigh and next week I have these fixed commitments: Monday 9:00 AM team meeting, Tuesday 2:00 PM client call with Horizon Medical, Wednesday 11:30 AM lunch with a prospect, Thursday 4:00 PM one-on-one with my assistant, and Friday 10:00 AM report deadline. I also need to prepare a slide deck, review three proposals, follow up with two clients, and set aside focus time for forecasting. Build me a Monday-to-Friday plan with time blocks, and make sure deep work gets protected. Include one thing I should delegate if I’m short on time.
Prompt: Turn goals into a 30-day action plan
Copy and paste this:
You are my planning coach. I want to get more organized over the next 30 days. My goals are to clear the cluttered guest room, set up a paper filing system, start walking three times a week, and stop missing appointments. I’m 67, I like simple checklists, and I do best with one or two goals at a time. Create a 30-day plan broken into weekly steps, with no more than 3 tasks per week, and include a quick win for each week. Add a reminder system for appointments and a way to track progress without using a complicated app.
