As most of our work happens behind closed doors and tightly-enforced NDAs, it fills us with joy whenever some of it makes it all the way to the general public. This is what happened with Bespoke UI, our latest collaboration with Google AI on their latest AI model Gemini.
As large language models continue to play a crucial role in accessing information, we helped the Google team to envision a new paradigm of interfaces, generated in real-time using information from the web. We called them โBespoke UIsโ. As every piece of media becomes more โpromptableโ, we designed new ways to interact with web content, called โprompt-in-placeโ.

If youโre an oio newsletter aficionado, you probably already know that we have been selected for a one-year residency at Mudac - the Museum of Design and Applied Arts in Lausanne. Over the next twelve months, we'll be exploring the fleeting world of design heritage, particularly in relation to the museum and its archiving practices.
We started with a field trip to meet designers, archivists, craftspeople, and other interesting figures orbiting around Lausanne, at the heart of Canton Vaud. We posted some highlights from the trip on our Instagram, so stay tuned for residency updates in the coming months.
How much spooness is spoon enough? This is the question we tried to answer at Kikk festival in Namur, Belgium. We were invited to talk about our work and our approach to design, and we took the opportunity to share some of our latest projects.
Watch the talk from our Co-founder Simone Rebaudengo on YouTube, if you want to find out how much spoon is actually too spoon.
That's right - oio Barcelona is now a thing. We are opening a new office on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, and to celebrate we are organising a neighbourly gathering with our friends - old, new and the ones who don't know are our friends yet. Are you one of them? Only one way to find out. Join us on the 7th of March in Barcelona, location still to be announced. Join our Discord for the latest updates, or keep an eye on our Instagram stories.
We are also looking for new talent to join our team in Barcelona. If you are a creative coder, a designer, or a studio manager, we would love to hear from you. Just send your profile at apply@oio.studio. It may takes us time to reply, but we will do our best to get back to you.
