Issue 9
Hello fellow humans and welcome to the first edition of the oio newsletter of the year 2022. It's a bit late for new year resolutions and all that, but we just entered the Year of the Tiger so I guess it is a new beginning after all. Speaking of fresh starts we are also witnessing some serious expansion of the oio team, new blood helping us to shape a less-boring future for everyone.
This and other enjoyable news, monthly charts, video games, free NFTs and a bunch of cool links right below.
π Oio News
New people!
We have two new additions to the oio team, Marta and Octavian. You can know more about them in their own words below:
Marta Fioravanti
Hello, Iβm Marta! I was born in a city whose existence is questioned by many Italian conspiracy theories. I started as a visual designer but I was too lazy, so I started programming to automate my work, and I doubled the time I spent doing stuff. I always put something yellow in my projects. My skateboard often says to me I have my feet on the ground. Here is a very useful nun generator I made with a friend.
Octavian Husoschi
Hi my nameβs Octavian and I love meta-design and circular storytelling. Currently based in Milan, Iβm into video games, shitposting, and pink (the color not the singer). Great at multitasking aka watching 2-hours-long video essays on YouTube while making my KILLER chili con carne (veg version in the workings). People tell me Iβm βso zoomer it hurtsβ and that I dress like an animal crossing character. Hereβs something I made.
Opening the IXDA conference
On other news, oio's co-founder Matteo Loglio will be opening the Interaction Design Association 2022 Conference, or simply IXDA22. He's writing this very email thinking that he really doesn't know what to talk about but it will be something extremely cool, so stay tuned. You probably have to get a ticket to listen to it, but it's definitely worth it. Matteo is probably the least interesting person presenting, as there are world-class designers and industry leaders lined up, and it's also a great opportunity to meet new people, so don't be shy and get a ticket here (massive discounts for students).

Museum of the Future opening soon!
The doors will open on 22/2/22, nothing public yet but keep an eye on their website, as more content will be revealed on the opening date. We've been working with the Museum of the Future on a few exhibitions from the permanent collection. More info after the opening.
