Chanukah begins this Thursday night, so be sure to have your candles ready, and a copy of the story of the Maccabees and the fight against forced assimilation. There will be no service for this on base, but many different celebrations over the 8-day holiday in the Omaha metro, including the Friday service at B'Nai in Council Bluffs, where my family will also be celebrating Ronen's first birthday! Hope to see you out there enjoying the holiday! Next virtual service will be on the following Friday, as Chanukah ends.
