The last two weeks I spent at an Artist in Residence in the Quw’utsun/Warmland of the Cowichan Valley. I went there to focus on my sketches and ideation for the upcoming show with my mom in the summer.

It was a beautiful time, filled with slowness, reflection, long walks, and lots of drawing.

I’ll be going into deeper dives about each painting on my Patreon over the next few months. There will be both free and members only posts going up there as I continue to untangle myself from my reliance on Instagram.

I’ll continue to send semi monthly updates here as I have more to share. And I will let you know dates for upcoming events where you can come see art in person.

• Chantay Dayal - The Ou Residency relations manager who I met during my stay. Her art showed up in my life multiple times just before my arrival. Her work is striking and meaningful, and it was a delight to meet her in person.
