June NYC Tech Policy HH Tomorrow 5:30-7:30 @ Vol de Nuit
Hi All,
This is a friendly reminder that the happy hour will be Thursday, 6/22 from 5:30-7:30 at Vol de Nuit. There have been a number of developments in the news lately, but the most disturbing to me is the reporting that House Judiciary under Jim Jordan is harassing non-profit and academic disinformation researchers with subpoenas and other frivolous legal process. I know some of these researchers, and to my knowledge they are all smart, conscientious people. I highly encourage people to keep an eye on this issue and think about what can be done.
On a lighter note, several people have mentioned that the bar is difficult to find if you've never been there before, so if you're new or just need a reminder, I've attached a visual aid below.
