That’s right—we are back to Wednesdays, and we have a new plan.

The July edition of the NYC Indie Games Social is on WEDNESDAY 7/8, at 7-10pm, indoors in the Madison Square region.

We won’t be going back to Sundays Well for the foreseeable future. The patio was lovely and we had a nice time, but the management proved frustratingly non-responsive, so it’s back to an old favorite (and back to our traditional Wednesdays, although the delay leaves us bumped back a week from usual).

Talking it over with Francisco, I hatched a new plan to bring some order to our lately wandering ways.

The idea is to adopt a predictable seasonal schedule shuttling between proven-friendly venues: outdoors in Brooklyn in the spring and fall, when the weather’s nice, and indoors in Manhattan in the summer and winter, when it’s too hot or cold and harder to find outdoor space anyway.

The two spots I have in mind are Wonderville in Brooklyn and the endlessly accommodating Smithfield Hall in Manhattan. (But please do make sure to RSVP and check the location details in case of changes.)

That means we are presently in the indoor summer phase of our peregrinations. When we meet in a couple weeks, we’ll be able to enjoy AC and perhaps a relative bit of quiet during a break in the World Cup frenzy. And in September, as the air cools, we’ll decamp for the backyards of Brooklyn.
