Capacity limits are in place
Last month, I added a capacity limit to manage headcount and make sure we’re not overwhelming the venue. We did fill up last time, so please register soon if you plan on coming, and remember to update your RSVP if you can’t make it to free up a spot for someone else. Thanks for being considerate!
Rooftop closes at 10pm
Just a reminder that the rooftop closes at 10pm, the event’s official end time, so be mindful of the time and help our excellent servers out by closing your tabs and being ready to move out so they can finish up on time. (You can always move downstairs to keep the party going in smaller groups.) And of course, please tip generously!
Moving to a new venue in December
For the November social we have a confirmed booking for the roof of our usual venue, outdoors. However, we were unable to book space for December’s event, so we will be moving to a new location TBD. Keep an eye on your inbox for updates as it approaches!
Introducing the ✨new✨ NYC Game Dev calendar
Last month, I shared the sad news that the NYC Game Dev Google calendar had been deleted, taking out a valuable community resource. I’m pleased to announce that its replacement is now up and is gradually being repopulated.
You can now subscribe to the new public NYC Game Dev calendar for all the event listings.
NYC Indie Games also has a separate public NYC Indie Games calendar listing only the socials.
On the NYC Game Dev section of my site, I’ve added a calendar widget that combines both of those and other local community calendars (from IGDA NYC, Make Games NYC, and GUMBO) for a comprehensive overview of what’s happening around town. You can see them all here: https://jesshaskins.com/nycgamedev
