NTS NEWS is excited to launch our newest article sub-theme: Sushi Club. Enjoy a range of reviews within this section, advice where to eat the best sushi and more!
Dining Divulgence is our extra-exclusive, premium eating newsletter, which all subscribers have access to. We don’t talk about food in our main newspapers and blogs - that’s why we created Dining Divulgence. To “divulge” information about fine dining & fun dining. But sometimes, particular food-related topics don’t fit into Dining Divulgence - especially more formal dishes, like raw cured fish. We thought it would be fitting to, just this once, welcome Sushi Club to our main newsletter encompassing everything we do - NTS NEWS.
Enjoy a series of well-planned, thoughtful reviews and opinions related to the Japanese delicacy, sushi.
I. Nobu Exclusives: King Salmon Nigiri
Nobu is a line of five-star hotels across the world. Nobu is a restaurant, seen in many different forms, including Chambao By The Beach - but best of all, Nobu is sushi central.
It’s not often guests visit Nobu - it’s extremely expensive, but those who yield money receive heavenly, ambrosial dishes. From the deliciously spicy Lobster Taco to the classic California Roll, this Japanese restaurant is spectacular.
We present one of the most spectacular Nobu Nigiris - this is the King Salmon variation. This version of salmon is wilder - as a result it has a bright orange “glow” surrounding it, presenting not only a delicious meal for the mouth but a feast for the eyes.
A bed of freshly prepared sushi rice. With a thin slice of Nobu’s finest King Salmon. Untainted from fish not properly cured, this sushi allows only deliciousness to flood your mouth.
At first bite, your eyes will light up and everything will brighten. At second nibble, the secrets of the universe are revealed: this nigiri is the ultimate sushi dish. At final taste, Nobu will instantly become the highlight of your day.
Be sure to try this spectacular nigiri at any Nobu restaurant, and don’t forget their divine and decadent desserts (see article After-Meal at Nobu for further information)!

II. Airport Sushi - To Go?
Sushi at the airport is normally considered to be low-quality, pre-prepared and not very tasty. Usually, this is the case - raw fish not properly cured can be dangerous and make someone sick or uneasy. However, there’s one exception to this - and this exception is massive. Next time you go to the airport, feast on….Yo! Sushi.
Although the name may sound a little informal, we assure you the concept is great - they utilize the old-style conveyer belt method. Instead of boringly ordering your food up at the counter, enjoy picking what you like instantly as it comes towards you on a moving belt. California Rolls? Prawn Nigiri? Edamame? Just sit back and relax, and let your food come to you.
Next time you go to an airport, don’t settle for the usual Pret sandwich or some low-quality pizza - enjoy the finest YO! Sushi, which will come to you in moments.

III. Spectacular Sushi Spots: SushiShop, Sushi Seiko and the Fjord Fish Market
Sushi is a marvelous creation, but only some restaurants really master the art of actually crafting it. Some take the easy route and buy pre-made sushi; others try it and fail. But, some are like stars and never die, and keep emitting strong rays of starlight: at NTS, we cover these pure and delicious spots. Whilst there are many hidden sushi gems hidden across the world, we’re covering some of the personal & public favorites.
Sushi Seiko
Sushi Seiko has delectable sushi, but so do many other places - the thing that gives this place that extra beam of starlight is their variety. Salmon Avocado. Spicy Edamame. Virginia Special Rolls. Catch of the Day platters. Fresh Tuna. Supreme-Sized “Rainbow Rolls.” Poke Bowls. Thanks only starting the list - there’s so many options, and they’re all delicious and awesome in unique ways.
SushiShop
Sushi Shop may have a more limited range of options, but their sushi is even more tasty - fresher, more authentic. A personal favorite for NTS is definitely - at extensive voting efforts - the spicy tuna roll, for it’s amazing taste and pretty good value-for-money.
footnote: The Spicy Tuna Roll has zero spicy elements within it.
The Fjord Fish Market
You’d probably figure that the best sushi spots would be at restaurants that specialize in Japanese cuisine. Usually, this is the case - however, when we visited the Fjord Fish Market to evaluate their fish & sushi’s quality, we found that their sushi was spectacular - particularly the ‘Salmon Lovers’ set.
The salmon lovers set is comprised of mini bite-sized salmon avocado sushi rolls. Breaking standard sushi tradition, as well as salmon being placed in the inside, there’s a thin (yet generous) slice of salmon layered on top. Not only is it a textural experience, but it’s also candy for the eyes.
