Here's my post for the week: Bayes theorem and how we talk about medical tests. This one was inspired by a combination of my past medical experiences and my stats learning, triggered by a late night rabbit hole looking at all my past test results and all my current symptoms. (No, I shouldn't try to diagnose myself; it's an expression of anxiety, and I'm working on it.) The results really surprised me.
