TaB: automating updates, my writing systems, and thanks
Hello, and happy Wednesday!
I have two new blog posts since my last newsletter:
- Automating updates to a digital vigil: I maintain a small digital vigil and updating it is emotionally difficult for me, because it reminds me of those we've lost each year. This year I automated some of the work, and made some lower friction but kept it manual. It's always worth reflecting on those tradeoffs!
- A new system for organizing my writing and projects: The way I organize blog posts and projects was showing its age, and wasn't working for me anymore. I've changed it up. This post talks about what I changed and why.
I also had a poem published in the December issue of Lavender Review.
My writing has been sporadic and spotty this year. Thank you for sticking with me while I've taken a much needed load off this year. In 2026, I'm going to focus on my writing a lot more, so I'll come off my hiatus eventually with regular high-quality blog posts again. I'm hoping to find a way to make it sustainable, while always keeping my writing available to everyone for free and without relying on sponsorships.
Alright, enough blabbing from me. I hope you have a great rest of the week! Stay kind to yourself. You'll hear from me again soon.
