ntietz.com blog: "Recovering from a lost disk"
Hello and happy Friday! Here's this week's post if you missed it: Recovering from a lost disk: how I setup, backup, and restore dev machines. It's about what happened after my laptop's SSD failed, and how I setup "new" machines.
This week was a lot better than last week, since I got settled back into a rhythm with my machine and it was fully setup and restored again. I also didn't have any travel this week, which helps a lot!
I'm working on a few posts which are going to come out in the coming weeks. I'm still working on Hurl in the background, but coming Monday is a post about prototyping. The working title right now is "Throw away the first draft of your code". Another one I'm pretty excited about is how I debug, so if you do anything special with debugging, please let me know and I'll try to include it (with attribution).
I hope you all have a nice weekend! There'll be a new post up on Monday, and newsletter next Friday.
