A Message of Gratitude and Hope for Our Parish Family
Dear Parishioners,

We are delighted to share truly wonderful news: our parish roof has now been fully paid off.
Our Roof Campaign began last November and December with a generous gift from one of our parishioners. We needed $86,515.07 to complete the project. Over the ensuing months, you responded with remarkable faithfulness. By the time the roofers finished their work—we had raised $83,393.84!!!!
Recently, our parish received a generous $50,000 bequest from the estate of Dorothy Kerr, a long-time parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi and Notre Dame du Lac. We are deeply grateful for this final act of kindness. After using $3,121.23 to pay off the remaining balance of our roof project, the remainder of her gift was placed into our Building Repair Savings Account. Because our building is over 70 years old, having this reserve is vital for handling major infrastructure needs—such as future furnace repairs or unexpected emergencies.
The heavy rains in June caused flooding in the basement, reminding us that our work is not finished. Our next steps will be to install a sump pit in the basement and improve the landscaping by increasing the slope around the church buildings so that rainwater drains away from the foundation.
Maintaining ample funds in the Building Repair Savings Account is essential to ongoing repairs and maintenance. As we move forward, we will continue to rely on your donations to help us complete these repairs and care for our parish home. Your generosity has always been the strength of our community, and together we will ensure that our church remains safe, welcoming, and strong for generations to come.
Thank you for your prayers, your support, and your love for our parish community. May God bless you abundantly for all you do.
