Walk With Me!

Bringing the "walk and talk" to a phone near you.

I completely forgot it was Tuesday today and so I didn’t have anything drafted up. I have been in a haze of gastroenteritis and some sort of infection and now the fog is finally lifting.

But in that few days where I was sick and tired, I realized something. I am deeply stressed and my health has been on the sidelines for a while. I’ve been drinking too much, exercising too little, and I don’t have a healthy outlet for my stress.

My physical therapist for my hip keeps telling me to go on walks, go on a bike ride, do SOMETHING to get out of the house and moving. My problem is though, is that I find all of that incredibly boring. Maybe some folks love working out but I do not. And in fact, the only times where I HAVE enjoyed working out is where I have 1:1 time with a personal trainer. That is unfortunately not in this government worker’s salary, so I’m adapting.

I thought it’d be a fun, and maybe an interesting experiment to invite you all to walk with me. And “walk” can be metaphorical - you could be running errands, cleaning up at home, or working on something that you need a body double for.

I’ll be walking for 20-30 minutes and I just want to talk and catch up while I do it so I’m not staring into the void of a tiny screen on a treadmill, and you’ll never catch me walking outside looking at the views in the winter!!!

You can sign up for a 30 minute slot and I’ll call you at that time. I even included a question where you can tell me what you want to talk about! No pressure.

Here is the link for sign up.

It’s just my way of connecting with folks during the winter in a low pressure way. I know we are millennials and we hate talking on the phone, but hopefully this is a way around that. Plus, I’m like the least threatening person I know lol.

Can’t wait to walk and talk, yap and rap? Anyway, if you have any questions but are hesitant to sign up, feel free to respond.

Here’s that link one more time.

Talk soon! <3 Martha
