This is a dream that the three of us have been holding in our hearts, and it’s coming together. I'm just really grateful for those of you who, when you saw North Star, recognized it as a thing that could actually be the fruition of a dream that you're having, too.
We’ve started mapping out all the beautiful places where different events will take place inside North Star. We’re planning the menu for meals. The beautiful details are coming together.
It feels so great to us, to know that some of you are right here with us in terms of the recognition of this as a dream you too have been brewing- “oh shit, this is that thing I've been wanting to do! the camp out in the woods! astrological & magical fuckin place-building!!”
Lex Hesperus, magician in residence, called it a Temporary Autonomous Temple, (when Hawk referenced Hakeem Bey's temporary autonomous zones). YES.
This is what we want it to look like - like the temple at Pythia just deploys on this campground for like a weekend. And then we all go home and take that magic, embodiment, infusion of spirit into our everyday life - back home to our friends and let it grow from there.

Sometimes the process of deciding which stellar or planetary spirit to join forces with can be complicated (I know sometimes when I get on the S+ website, the wealth of options necessitates that I seek the external council of omens, the spirits, or divination. What if that council was expert?
Our resident talisman maker Josh Proto is offering a thing we’re calling the MAGICAL MATCHMAKING session, to every North Starian who gets a ticket through Thursday (June 26). Tell Josh your heart’s desires, show him your chart, and with his extensive knowledge of astrological magic, he will triangulate. Get actionable nuggets like “for you, use amethyst for your talisman for Jupiter, use aquamarine,” “Venus has so much to offer you - you should be working with her!” “you want a promotion? I know you’d think jupiter as your lord of the 10th, but in fact, you should be moving toward mars, and boxing with your coworkers.”
You can use this to focus your own magic, or to inform your choices when you move to adopt a talisman.
Josh is a Rimé Buddhist priest, and I (Hawk here) trust him to council people toward their most fruitful life direction. He has actual piles of talismans that he’s made over the last 7 years. (ooh, thee experience).
Think of him as Charon the boatman, guiding you through the bifurcating rivers of talismanic opportunity.

This is truly a boon. Kait & Austin’s own in-person magical event in 2019 featured an S+ materia bar. It was fantastic, and one of our early tastes of in-person PNW magic community, and of this scene that has grown up around star-soaked magic.
