The big reveal: introducing North Bay Python 2018's keynote speakers
*tap tap* is this thing on? Great, OK. *clears throat*
Good evening, everyone! Hello, and welcome to the last two weeks before North Bay Python! T-shirts are being printed, presentations are being practiced, last minute hotel rooms are being booked, and the organizing team just can't wait any longer.
We are thrilled to introduce the keynote speakers for North Bay Python 2018: Mariatta Wijaya and Robert 'r0ml' Lefkowitz! They join 21 other presenters who are gearing up to edify, entertain, and help us grow as individuals and as a community.
Mariatta is a Python Core Developer, a co-organizer of Vancouver PyLadies, and a co-founder of PyCascades (our sibling in the Pacific Northwest!). Mariatta is a pillar of the Python community and we are honored to welcome her to the stage.
r0ml is a Distinguished Engineer of the ACM, was a Public Software Librarian seven years before free software became a thing (and 22 years before open source), and enjoys studying obscure programming languages. r0ml is as incisive as he is hilarious and we're thrilled he's coming to Petaluma.
Make no mistake: with a community like ours, speakers like these, and people like you, North Bay Python 2018 is going to be a good time.
We'll see you soon!
