North Bay Python wants your talk ideas! Deadline is September 29.
Hello, Pythonistas!
Josh from the North Bay Python organizing team here with a very important announcement: we are now accepting proposals for conference talks! You can learn more and submit yours now by going to northbaypython.org/proposals
Your last chance to submit a proposal is Friday, September 29.
The vast majority of North Bay Python sessions will be given by community members who submit proposals -- and we hope you will be one of them. Never given a conference presentation? Not a problem, we’ve got mentorship and training available. Not sure what to talk about? Oh trust me, we’ve got ideas and we’re glad to help!
You can reach Sam, our program chair, at program@northbaypython.org. You can also find us on IRC in the #nbpy channel on the Freenode network. New to IRC? You can use this web client to connect.
Ping us anytime during the process for help, or drop by IRC during one of our regularly scheduled office hours. We’ll be holding office hours every Wednesday at 7pm and Friday at 3pm Pacific Time. The first is this Wednesday and the last is on the day we close submissions.
Again, the deadline is Friday, September 29. We will take a week or two to review submitted proposals. You’ll hear if your proposal has been accepted the week of October 9.
That’s all for now. We’re excited to hear from you!
Cheers,
Josh
PS. We're still looking for sponsors -- you can find our prospectus here. Please pass it on!
