Introducing North Bay Python 2017's first keynote speaker
Hi, Pythonistas!
Sam here from the North Bay Python program committee. I hope you’ve purchased your ticket, 35% of early bird tickets have already sold! In case you haven’t, I have an exciting announcement about the program we’re putting together for you to enjoy.
Today we’re spotlighting one of our two keynote presenters: Carina C. Zona!
Carina is a developer evangelist, advocate, photographer, crocheter, gluten-free baker, and certified sex educator. She is also the founder of CallbackWomen, whose mission is to radically increase gender diversity at the podium of professional programmers’ conferences, and has been an organizer and instructor for many other tech nonprofits.
Following on from her talks Schemas for the Real World and Consequences of an Insightful Algorithm, Carina’s keynote will continue her line of critical thinking and explorations of the unexpected cultural effects of our decisions as programmers.
All of us on the North Bay Python team are thrilled Carina will join us in Petaluma this December to keynote North Bay Python 2017!
The next 65 people can buy tickets starting at $25 until next Friday, October 20, after that they go up to $50. If you’re interested in attending but still need to persuade a manager to send you to North Bay Python, check out the business case we’ve outlined on our website.
I look forward to introducing our second keynote presenter and session schedule soon.
Cheers,
Sam
