5 days until North Bay Python! (Cool) weather update! Social gatherings!
Hello, dearest subscribers!
It's the last week before North Bay Python! There's still plenty of tickets available, and buying tickets on the earlier side makes it easier for us to plan the rest of the event!
You can find tickets at https://nbpy.link/tickets --- easy!
As we get closer to the event, many of our updates will start going out through our event social media channels. You can follow @NorthBayPython@social.northbaypython.org on Mastodon or @northbaypython.org on Bluesky. If you're not already following us there, do try it!
Here's some other useful information:
The Weather is going to be significantly cooler than last year! At time of writing, we're expecting a high of 61°F on Saturday and 65°F on Sunday, with a slight chance of overnight rain between Friday and Saturday. We'll try our hardest to warm up the barn both mornings, before people show up. If you're travelling from out of town, bring layers and a hat: Petaluma fog tends to burn off around 11am at the moment, and cloudy mornings often give way to warm, sunny afternoons.
Have dinner at the ranch! We've confirmed with our delightful hosts, Reis River Ranch, that you're welcome to stay around the ranch through the evenings on both days for picnic or delivery dinner. We've confirmed that most delivery services are able to deliver right up to the ranch, and wine is available from the on-site tasting room. We'll confirm details during the event!
Pre-conference gathering: we're planning an informal gathering on Friday evening for attendees who are arriving in Petaluma early, likely starting around 5pm or 6pm. Since it looks like it might be damp, we've got a venue in mind that has plenty of good food options and a variety of drinks (including attractive non-alcoholic options). We'll confirm the official location to attendees by email and social media as we get closer to the event.
That's it for now. For further updates about the event, either buy a ticket for direct attendee emails, or follow us on social media!
See you all this weekend!
