Noodle Day for Raymond Federman: Less Than One Month! 🍝

One Month Away (or Less)
TIME OF NOODLES
step one: buy noodles
October 6th is first (or second) Noodle Day of the year. This depends on if your year begins with the calendar year of January 1, or the Noodle Day Year which begins October 6. Either is acceptable, as Federman would want. To celebrate, you are going to need some noodles. Do you get tomato sauce once in a while for extra flavor? Can you afford it? You could use butter. Better start writing this down.
step two: prepare noodles
You can have your noodles and eat them too. Or maybe you do not eat them, but arrange them into a Federmacaroni portrait? Pho? Sure. You can even use ramen—we're not pici. Boiled, fried, breakfast, dinner, it's up to you when and how you enjoy them. You haven't even bought them yet? Go back to step one and stop daydreaming.
step three: eat (or don't) noodles
This part is really important. You need to enjoy the noodles (eating them, covering in glitter, rolling on them, throwing them at white supremacists) and think of Federman. We're personally fans of eating them while thinking of Federman, but if multitasking is too much, you can separate the task into two parts: 1: Enjoy Noodles, 2: Think of Federman. You can do these parts in opposite order as well. There aren't a lot of rules in the Federverse.
step four: get to the point
Don't forget to get to the point.
step five: an aside
Federman's story is not, he insists, a Jewish story. For this email we'll call it an American story. An American story about a Jewish Frenchman whose family are rounded up by Nazis and murdered, who escapes and survives the war, comes to America, works in a factory, joins the Army, plays jazz, and becomes a world-renowned author and professor. That is truly American. Don't forget the coffee.
step six: get to the point
We also very much support and encourage you take a picture and post it to twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, ello or any and everywhere that others may learn of Raymond Federman: The writer, man, and character.
