Noodle Day for Raymond Federman is soon. What's your plan?
We are pleased to remind you of that Noodle Day approaching
Noodle Day is October 6th—
one week from today
(more or less)
In seven days we celebrate Raymond Federman with Noodle Day. True Fedheads know that the celebration can begin even earlier—that is, tomorrow.
May a partial fedhead ask, why September 30th?
You may. September 30th, because in Double or Nothing, on September 30th, one of the narrative's Federmans decides to lock himself in a room the next day, October 1st (a wednesday in 2025), so they can write a book, which is alleged to be (heavily implied to be), the book we (the reader) are then reading, said book being, as stated, Double or Nothing.
In fact, you could take a two-day noodle-bender, if such a thing's a thing that's your sort of thing. Yet AS ALWAYS we like to note that just Noodle Day itself is enough of a celebration.
So remember: October 6th is Noodle Day, which is one week that is comprised of seven days worth of time from now. Optional partying is September 30—October 01. See you at one of these theres!
2025 continues our stand against fascist social media empires
Since 2023, Noodle Day has been social only on Mastodon: https://mastodon.xyz/@noodledayforray. Noodle Day has always been about private celebration, but public sharing about the event helps recruit more Federmaniacs. Help us spread the word about Noodle Day:
- Online, with hashtags and love (#noodleday, or otherwise)
- Offline, with wheat-pasted fliers, bail funds
- Sustained, multi-channel advertising blitz using metrics from online pixel-tracking and purchased audience information to deliver highly targeted ads appealing to specific groups based on age, gender, ideologies, geographic location, hair color, weight, race, height, favorite noodles, sauce allegiances
- Handbills
- An option better than any yet mentioned, which is __.
- Video-based novelties
You get the idea. Be the playgerist experimental fiction experiences you want to see in the world.
SEE YOU in ONE WEEK on...
