Experimental Liturgy Slalom: Pésaḥ 7!
BRIN SPOTTING: Online Pésaḥ Service, 21 April
Hello all! I've been making steady progress thru the full version of Siddur Davar Ḥadash, and have pretty much finished up the festival evening section. To celebrate, I want to take the new liturgy for a little test drive! I figure most people will have plans for seders and things at the beginning of Pésaḥ, but the end of the Festival might be more open. So! I will be hosting an online Zoom service on the evening of 21 April and sloshing thru the new liturgy! Tune on in if you would like to see what I've been up to! There will be some psalms! Some prose prayers! Some time for silent connection with the Divine! Live captions! All the details can and a signup link can be found here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/experimental-liturgy-test-drive-pesah-7-tickets-313911767547
Further Afield:
I am very close to finishing up my trio for oboe, bassoon, and piano for the Double Reed Dish commissioning consortium. Exciting! Performance details will be coming once I know them, but for now keep an eye out for Dances for Tangible Water coming sometime soon to a chamber recital near you :D
The tuba sonata I wrote for Chris Dickey at the University of Washington has tentatively been slated for a premiere this October. Full details on this also to come — if there is a livestream, I will send that out as well!
Back Burner:
In case you missed it, I have a song in the New Music Shelf anthology for trans and nonbinary voices! It's a banger and I love it a lot. ^_^
Some opera, writing-about-music, and collaborative song zine projects are ~in the works~, so watch this space for updates as they come...
In the meantime, be excellent to one another!
