Talking Siddur at The Torah Studio!
I’ll be joining Lexi Kohanski on Zoom to talk about my work on the siddur, from initial concept to final 800-page release. Along the way, we’ll be taking a deeper dive into some of the specific prayers to take a closer look at my liturgical process. Two bass clarinets! Now that the paperwork is all signed, I could not be more excited to share that I’ve been commissioned to write a bass clarinet duet for Tucker Hall-Klingensmith and Miguel Velasco. Before switching to bassoon, I had a brief stint playing bass clarinet in my middle school band, so it’ll be fun to revisit its bass/squeaky sonorities.
