Goodbye to the Malmö Non-Fiction Bookclub

Hi everyone,

As mentioned in the previous email, I am moving away from Malmö this autumn, so I won’t organize any more meetups. If anyone wants to take over and continue with the “Currently Reading Fikas” or another format — let me know by replying to this email, I’ll make sure you can get in touch with everyone who signed up.

Thank you all for sharing your reading and thoughts, it was amazing to be part of this group. If you want to stay in touch, you can write to bookclub@darkscience.eu or visit https://darkscience.eu any time.

Last time

For reference, in the last fika we talked about the following books:

  • Mer Pengar För Pengarna by Andreas Runnemo, Patrick Siegbahn, and Elisabeth Wass
  • A Woman of No Importance: The Untold Story of the American Spy Who Helped Win World War II by Sonia Purnell
  • The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement by Eliyahu M. Goldratt and Jeff Cox
  • Dream babies: childcare advice from John Locke to Gina Ford by Christina Hardyment
  • Beyond the pleasure principle by Sigmund Freud
  • When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi
  • Gratitude by Oliver Sacks (and his other books)

Last but not least, for those not only into reading but into writing, the Writing Maps by Shaun Levin might be of interest.

And I have “Ester Blenda” in my notes with a big exclamation point and a heart — definitely someone interesting too :)

So long and thanks for all the books! Keep reading <3
