Birthday Week

My favourite week of the year is here! 🙌🏾

I’m starting the week in Italy — going from Ostuni to Matera today — and ending it in Leeds, both trips for weddings. ✨

In between I’ll be having a lil’ staycation at a London hotel where I’ll hopefully get a lot of reading done and enjoy cream tea and room service. 🧘🏾‍♀️

Working Around Weddings

I did indeed get my act together in the last couple of weeks and got Private Books done! 🙌🏾

It took locking in for a whole day and not touching my phone or social media for 13 hours. Given the sensitivity around the feature, I decided to let the Librarians play around with it first.

There were a few bugs, but with flying out to Italy to give a speech at the wedding, it was hard to find a safe time to deploy.

I finally managed to deploy the fixes this morning and should be properly announcing the feature over the coming days.

In the meantime, here are my looks for the wedding 😌:

The final wedding of the year is coming up on Saturday and then I’m ready for my Q4 lock-in! 💪🏾

Local Library

For the first time since graduating from university, I've signed up to my local library!

I'd signed up for digital loans during Covid, but that membership has since expired, and it’s been thirteen years since I've been able to borrow physical books. I'm excited!! 😍

Fairytale Retellings Longlist

I did pick things up with the Top Three Book Club and I’ve announced the longlist, come up with the next steps, created a challenge, and set up a poll for the official readalongs.

For our first cycle we’re going to be figuring out what the top three fairytale retellings are.

We’ll be hosting readalongs for the months of October, November, and December. Join the club if you'd like a say in what we read! 🧚🏾
