It seems y’all don’t care when this email comes out but Friday feels late to me — what with the next main issue coming out on Monday — and I’ve had this todo hanging over my head since Monday. Going to try and be stricter with myself just like I am with the main edition. Haven’t missed a Monday since I started in 2019.
My biggest book pet peeve is when someone talks about the twist in a book. Either something like “I didn’t see the twist coming” or “One of the best twists ever” or “You’ll never guess the twist”. I feel cheated. I didn’t know there was a twist and now I don’t get to have that a-ha/OMG moment that you did. Now I’m second-guessing everything. Anyone else?
Decided to experiment with a book club — Top Three Book Club — since I was feeling inspired, even though it’s not like I’ve got a lot of free time. But it’s an experiment (See the About tab). I can shut it down whenever I want to!
