One month until launch and, of course, there's still so much to do. 😩
Surprisingly, the closer we get to January 1st, the calmer I'm feeling.
Maybe it's because, deep down, I know we'll figure it out. We'll do what needs to get done.
I'm looking forward to us having a proper landing page! 😅
I've also internalised the fact that 'launch' does not mean 'perfect'.
There'll still be features we don't have, mistakes made, and bugs present, but amidst all of that we plan to be providing a much more polished experience. 🤞🏾

Whatever you're in the mood for, you can tell us via a filter menu and we'll, on-the-fly, return the best recommendations for you, taking your general reading preferences into account.
We now also remove to-read and owned books by default, increasing the possibilities of discovery!
This is the next evolution of our "Ordered for you" feature — one that gives you a greater variety of results and is a lot easier to understand! 😁
This week
Normally I have a sense of what the week has in store product-wise, but today I'm just staring at my list thinking: well, I'll probably do a little of this, and a little of that...hmm...maybe I should start thinking about that other thing...
One of the things on my mind is getting our 2021 reading challenges launched!
What's on my radar? An updated site design, editions, self-service on-demand user data exports, behind-the-scenes maintenance tasks that need doing before tens of thousands more people visit the site...
...sounds like I'm due a strategy and prioritisation session. 🤓
