Do we need another review site?
Aha! But the reviews on The StoryGraph are not like others.
Yes, you can still add a rating and a body of text if you want to, but the main focus is sharing which moods you think the book represents and answering a few questions about the characters and pace.
The hope is that the reviews will feed back into the site, leading to richer discovery.
Now it's time for me to do some necessary housekeeping, some performance tests (does the app still work when there's 700+ books loaded in, all with accompanying pictures and other metadata?), and plan out how the beta testing programme will work.
